About the Organization

The Central University of Jammu came into existence on August 08, 2011, with the appointment of the first Vice-Chancellor. It was established by the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No.25 of 2009 read with the Central Universities Act, 2009).

The first academic session (2011-2012) commenced with three Post Graduate courses in English, Economics and Applied Mathematics at Temporary Academic Block-I (TAB-I) at Sidhra bypass road, Jammu. In the next academic session (2012-2013),five PG Courses were added: Computer Science, Educational Studies, Environmental Sciences, Human Resource Management and Travel & Tourism Management in Temporary Academic Block (TAB-II) at Sainik Colony Extension. Since the third session (2013-2014) all the departments are functioning from TAB at Sainik Colony. Four new post graduate courses were introduced in the academic session (2014-2015): National Security Studies; Public Policy & Public Administration; Social Work and Mass Communication & New Media. The University also offers Integrated M-Phil-Ph.D programme in eight subjects.

About the Conference

The 2nd international conference on materials for sustainable development and technologies (ICMSDNT - 2024) will be held during April 24-26, 2024, at the Department of NanoScience and Materials, Central University of Jammu, Jammu, India. This conference has been organized to bring together leading National and International scientists from academia, research institutes, and industries to exchange new ideas and share their research in emerging areas in line with the theme of the conference. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for young researchers, practitioner and educator to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends and concerns as well as solutions adopted in the field of materials science.

This conference is programmed to offer a comprehensive session addressing the recent advancements and new strategies for the development of materials to meet the potential future challenges across the globe, including the search for the renewable energies for sustainable development and new technology for the protection of the environment. ICMSDNT -2024 is expected to be an exciting and informative event for all attendees from India and Overseas.
