About the Organization
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.
About the Fellowship
This one-year, part-time fellowship aims to train and support school teachers to create joyful teaching and learning spaces. With a hybrid training mode, in-person sessions at TISS, and online sessions, selected teachers will gain state-of-the-art SEL frameworks and tools, mentorship, and a supportive community.
Duration: 1 year
Mode: Hybrid (In-person at TISS, Mumbai + Online)
Fee: Free, funded by Flourishing Minds Fund, America
Seats: 50
Who Should Apply:
- Teachers passionate about mental health and social-emotional learning
- Graduate/Bachelor's degree holders with 3+ years of teaching experience
- Fluent in Hindi (speaking) and English (reading/writing)
- Committed to transforming schools into great SEL spaces
