About the Award

Mass personalization is about delivering truly individual medicine, at scale, and at an affordable cost. It has the potential to change the lives of millions of people around the world. The Mimics Innovation Awards celebrate those driving this shift and transforming healthcare.

Writing a research paper takes a lot of time and effort. It takes even more dedication. To your research topic, your academic career, and your personal values. All with the goal of creating something that changes lives.

That’s why we’re here. Your work advances the world of healthcare. Your research contributes to the lives of millions. Our role is to share that with the world.

What can you win -

1st place:

• Publication in Springer’s 3D Printing in Medicine journal (upon peer review)

2nd and 3rd place:

• Publication in Springer’s 3D Printing in Medicine journal (upon peer review) 
• Gain visibility through the Materialise channels 
• Become part of a community of innovators  
• €4,000

We will consider submissions that:

• Are innovative
• Bring new and inspiring applications and approaches to mass personalization, enable scalability of personalized care, or create clinical or economical evidence for mass personalized care
• Were conducted using Materialise Medical software (Mimics, 3-matic, PROPLAN CMFTM, Mimics inPrint, Mimics Enlight, OrthoView)

Eligibility

• A published or unpublished article of 10 pages or less
• Research conducted in the last three years
• Written in English
• Submitted in .pdf format
• Comprised of the following sections: abstract, methods, results, conclusions, and high-quality pictures
• Have not been submitted to the Mimics Innovation Award jury previously 

Any person, group of persons, company, academic institution, or hospital can enter the Mimics Innovation Awards. Each corresponding author may only submit once per year.
