Course Description
Nonprofit businesses or NGOs hold a very important place in any society. These organisations are run by Board of Directors, Officers, Employees, Volunteers and/or are funded by different Donors all for a specific cause. A non-profit entity can be any corporation, organization, or association with the mission to better help the general public. Nonprofit organisation acquire their funds through donations or fundraising or awarded through grants or other fund sources. These accumulated monies must stay within the organisation to be used in the running and improvement of the project or mission. These funds may be spent on funding special programs and activities that the organisation provides, employees’ payroll, administration and operation expenses among other things. QuickBooks is easy to use, yet has many features that are relevant for nonprofit bookkeeping. The program can be used to cut down the time you spend on your books as well as comply with the vast reporting requirements of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Non-Profits Organizations. This intuitive and powerful accounting and financial reporting system takes the complexity out of entering, maintaining, tracking and reporting detailed financial data. It offers a combination of visually appealing data entry screens, well-defined user features, and quick access to help make data management easy. The software indeed helps not-for-profit organizations/non-governmental organizations (NGOs) increase efficiency and more easily manage their operations from fund accounting, donors and financial reporting.
