Apollo Hospitals offers Basic Life Support training under Project Prashikshan

Billion Hearts Beating, a not-for-profit foundation by Apollo Hospitals, recently organized Basic Life Support (BLS) training for cadets, state police, and other frontline warriors at LJ University in Ahmedabad under the project ‘Prashikshan, aimed at spreading awareness and greater preparedness for emergencies. Dr. Sanjay Shah, Senior Consultant Trauma Surgeon and Head of the Emergency Department at Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad guided the participants in recognizing an emergency, performing high-quality chest compressions, delivering appropriate ventilations, and preliminary use of Automated External Defibrillators in case of cardiac arrest. Around 180 people participated in the training program.
