Indrashil Kaka-Ba and Kala-Budh Public Charitable Trust organizes free medical camp in Jammu

Indrashil Kaka-Ba and Kala-Budh Public Charitable Trust, the charitable arm of Cadila Pharmaceuticals, one of the oldest and largest privately held pharma companies in the country, and Sanjeevani Healthcare Hospital organised a free medical and medicine distribution camp in Rakh Amb Talli village in Jammu’s Samba block on Saturday.
The leading orthopaedic doctors, ENT specialists, ophthalmologists, gynaecologists, and general disease specialists extended their service at the free camp. More than 400 persons from Rakh Amb Talli and five villages in its vicinity underwent free check-ups at the camp. They were also provided free medicines.
Indrashil Kaka-Ba and Kala-Budh Public Charitable Trust will also extend financial support to patients who underwent check-ups at the camp and need to undergo further treatment or surgery.
Dr. Bharat Champaneria, Trustee of Indrashil Kaka-Ba and Kala-Budh Public Charitable Trust, said, “Cadila Pharmaceuticals and Indrashil Kaka-Ba and Kala-Budh Public Charitable Trust are committed to the development of villages in Samba block. The company and the trust have adopted Chak Nanak, Badheri, Mandhera, Rakh Amb Talli, and Langat villages of Samba block and are supporting several activities and projects in healthcare, environment, infrastructure, education, livelihood creation, women empowerment, and other areas. We will continue to try to accelerate the work in the times to come.”
Ahmedabad-based Cadila Pharmaceuticals is the country’s leading drug manufacturer. The company is carrying out several CSR projects in 21 villages in three states through its CSR arm Indrashil Kaka-Ba and Kala-Budh Public Charitable Trust. The company’s plant in Samba is providing employment to more than 500 local youths.
