Four years ago, Aamir observed sweeping improvements at Noorul Islam School, a neighboring institution. Curious about the change, he approached the headmaster and learned that the transformation was driven by the Kotak Education Foundation’s School Leadership Development Project. Inspired, Aamir decided to introduce the program at Madni School to address long-standing challenges and elevate its academic standards.
While the staff was experienced, the absence of structured planning and evaluation hindered progress. The project equipped Aamir and his team with modern tools, such as planning frameworks, measurable targets, and self-assessment templates, revolutionizing their approach to education.
“The Kotak Education Foundation has empowered us with tools to foster collaboration, build stronger teams, and implement meaningful change. Today, we are shaping students into confident, future-ready individuals while motivating teachers to excel in their roles,” says Aamir, reflecting on the school’s transformative journey.
One of the key successes was the introduction of Teacher Appreciation Awards, recognizing educators for skills like critical thinking, creativity, and leadership. This initiative not only celebrated excellence but also cultivated a culture of mutual respect and motivation. The implementation of a self-appraisal system, combined with one-on-one discussions, brought clarity to roles and responsibilities while encouraging professional growth.
Under Aamir’s guidance, monthly training sessions became a cornerstone of the school’s development. Teachers led these sessions, sharing insights and enhancing peer learning, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and innovation.
