Teach For India was founded in 2008. Inspired by Teach For America’s journey, we worked with McKinsey & Company to craft a blueprint around the belief that all children must attain an excellent education.
Today, we are a movement of 900 Fellows teaching 33,000 children and 4,500+ Alumni who are collectively reaching 50 million children across India.
About the Fund
Empowering workers in Asia-Pacific for the AI-driven future while fostering inclusivity and readiness in the evolving economy.
AVPN, in collaboration with Google.org and Asian Development Bank (ADB), will support workers across Asia Pacific who are most impacted by workforce transitions that are driven by AI. A diverse range of organisations including charitable nonprofits, public interest organisations, social enterprises, civic institutions, municipalities, labour unions, professional bodies and associations reaching these workers will be selected through an open call. Successful applicants will receive financial support and bespoke training based on foundational AI courses designed by Google and external partners.
The AI Opportunity Fund: Asia-Pacific is an AI skilling initiative designed to equip workers, especially those who need more support to upskill themselves, with the foundational AI knowledge and tools needed for long-term positive professional outcomes.
A wide range of organisations that reach those workers can apply for support, including trade unions and trade bodies, municipalities, nonprofits, and professional associations.
Successful applicants will receive funding, comprehensive training based on Google and external AI courses, and the option for additional tailored training aimed at supporting vulnerable workers.
Selected organisations of the AI Opportunity Fund: Asia-Pacific will gain access to a comprehensive range of support, including:
- Funding
- Bespoke training based on Foundational AI curriculum
- Additional tailored training options aimed at reaching and
- empowering vulnerable workers in the Asia Pacific region
- Networking opportunities
We’re committed to preparing workers to be future-ready by equipping them with foundational AI knowledge and skills to increase their opportunities in an AI-powered economy.
Eligibility
- A diverse range of organisations are eligible to apply for support, including charitable nonprofits, public interest organisations, social enterprises, civic institutions, municipalities, labour unions, professional bodies, and associations that reach out to and support workers impacted by AI-driven workforce transitions.
- Organisations registered and operating in any market in the Asia Pacific region are eligible to apply.
