About the Organization

The Fit for Life Foundation supports healthy aging and independent mobility of older people in aging societies worldwide through grants to innovative projects and by building global awareness of the value of physical activity. 

The Fit for Life Foundation was established in 2020 as a public interest, not-for-profit  foundation based in Liechtenstein.

The foundation promotes the vision of Jack Lowe, a Swiss entrepreneur and all-round athlete who has experienced first-hand the  positive impact of sport on his ability to remain healthy, active and engaged in old age.

Jack believes that  “getting fit and staying physically active are the best investment you can make for a long and healthy life.”

About the Grant

Every year, the Fit for Life Foundation awards grants of EUR 100,000 each to 3 non-profit organizations or social enterprises that are pioneering projects to promote lifelong fitness and health.

Winner will be announced during the awards ceremony that will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, in September/October 2023.

If your organization makes an impact on healthy aging for older (65+ years) or middle-aged people (45+ years), we would love to hear about your work.

Eligibility

To apply for the Fit for Life Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The organization or initiative must be legally registered as a non-profit or social enterprise in its country/countries of operations.
• We do not accept applications from the following types of organizations:
• Research institutes
• Government/public sector institutes
• Political organizations
• Organizations that discriminate in their leadership, staffing, or service provision on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, national origin, political affiliation, religious belief or sexual orientation.

We welcome applications from organizations all around the world.

​How to Apply

• Applicants submit the on-line application form

Deadline: 15 February 2023

We start assessing applications as soon as possible after they come in. So don’t wait too long to complete your application!

• February to March 2023. Organizations shortlisted by the Fit for Life Foundation are requested to provide additional detailed information through the “stage two” on-line form. Applicants not selected to the next round are informed immediately.
• March to June 2023. The Fit for Life Foundation team carries out more in-depth due diligence on selected shortlisted organizations, through onsite visits and/or virtual interviews. The Foundation team draws up a list of finalists for consideration by the Selection Committee, which chooses the three Laureates.

The three Laureates are publicly announced during the annual Fit for Life Awards Celebration in Geneva, typically in September/October.
