About the Organization

Created in 2020, the L'Oréal Fund for Women is an endowment fund whose mission is to support grassroots organizations and associations dedicated to assisting highly vulnerable women and girls, combating sexist and sexual violence, and preventing domestic violence.

About the Grant

By supporting projects promoting access to education, social and professional integration, and the protection of women's rights, the L'Oréal Fund for Women aims to actively contribute to the resilience of women and girls experiencing extreme hardship, whether due to disability, refugee status, or other circumstances. In 2023, the Fund was renewed until July 2026.

Nature of the activity/project for which the request is made:

• Nature of the Activity/Project for which the Application is Made: The individuals directly supported by your organization must be women or girls experiencing one or more types of vulnerabilities: precarious situations (lack of or insufficient income, homelessness, single parenthood, geographical isolation - rural areas or suburbs, etc.), victims of violence, disability, refugee status, among others.
• If your organization directly and exclusively supports women and girls with one or more vulnerabilities, you can choose between applying for structural financial support or financial support for a project.
• If your organization directly supports all types of vulnerable people, you can only apply for financial support for a project.
• Your social mission must align with that of the L'Oréal Fund for Women, focusing on the resilience of women and girls, such as their access to education, vocational training, social and professional integration, empowerment, and emergency assistance.
• Your social mission can be translated into a service, a tool that promotes it, or a field project.
• For this call for projects, coinciding with the end of the 2023-2026 funding period for the L'Oréal Fund for Women, you can apply for a grant for 12 months only.
• Your request cannot be less than €5,000 or exceed €300,000.
• The requested amount, in line with the eligibility criteria, cannot exceed 30% of your organization's budget if you are applying for structural support (see point 6) or 30% of your project's budget if you are applying for financial support for a project.
• Your organization must demonstrate that it has secured or has pending and future applications for funding from other sources.

Scope:

• The Fund is open internationally and can support organizations operating in their country of registration or in other countries of operation worldwide.
• In accordance with the territorial criteria of the L'Oréal Fund for Women, priority will be given to organizations whose headquarters are located within the European Union.
• In the context of an application for financial support for a project, the ideation, implementation, or deployment phases are eligible.

Eligibility

Relevance of the organization:

• Non-profit or not-for-profit grassroots organization working in the public interest, able to demonstrate eligibility to receive philanthropic funds in the form of private grants, and possessing official statutes.
• Organization whose income cannot be directly or indirectly distributed to its members.
• Organization with more than two years of official existence OR an organization with a solid and demonstrable innovative component that addresses a specific need.
• Organization directly supporting a minimum of 200 beneficiaries per year in total.
• Organization authorized to issue tax receipts (in France and the European Union).

How to Apply

For this final 12-month cycle, the call for projects will be open from April 2, 2025 (12 PM CET) to April 30, 2025 (12 PM CET).
