Unboxing BLR is an initiative to curate, facilitate and catalyze activities that will enable the citizens and communities of Bangalore to engage better with their city.

About the Grant

Through the Namma Bengaluru challenge, we are so excited to give back to the city that has given us so much. This is an open call for changemakers (for-profit or not-for-profit) working on innovative ways to make Bengaluru safer, friendlier, and more liveable!

If you are a young innovator working toward envisioning and reshaping the future of the city through unique, practical solutions, you’ve landed at the perfect place.

We’re looking for people who tick off the following list.

• Your solution should be original, offering a new perspective or approach to solving challenges faced by the city.
• The proposed project must be practical and achievable with the support of the grant.
• Applicants must demonstrate a clear plan for how they will execute their ideas and be willing to work on them full-time during the grant period.

The main event will be held at Bangalore International Centre on 13th December as part of BLR Hubba, UnboxingBLR’s city-wide festival, where YOU get to present your ideas to an accomplished jury.

But wait, that’s not all. In addition, we will create short video reels to spotlight YOUR story and the impact you are creating in the city.

How to Apply

• Fill out the Namma Bengaluru Challenge application form on our official website by providing detailed information about your project, the problem it addresses, and your proposed solution. On the same form, submit a short video (under 5 minutes) introducing yourself and explaining why your solution matters for Bengaluru.
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a virtual interview with our selection panel to dive deeper into their ideas.
• The final selections will be announced, and successful applicants will be invited to a kickoff event where they will receive the grant and share their vision with a thriving community of Bengaluru’s leading changemakers.
