About the Organization

The Centre for Community Economics and Development Consultants Society (CECOEDECON) is one of Rajasthan’s leading civil society organizations. It’s early footprints in the area of disaster relief have eventually progressed into imprinting its presence in more than 15 districts across the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The organization has evolved, from a needs-based approach to rights-based approach, into a civil society organization focusing on economic justice, livelihood security, basic rights, institution development and civil society building, underpinned by integrated participatory development.

About the Proposal

RFP for undertaking a rapid assessment of impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Adolescent and Young Girls With the technical and financial support of an International agency, CECOEDECON is implementing an integrated development project in identified districts of Rajasthan. The objective of the program is to adopt a systems strengthening approach to ensure that young people and adolescents are benefited from the implementation of the large sector programmes in the area of health and gender. To meet the objective of the program activating institutional mechanisms, mentoring and capacity building of different stakeholders are being adopted as the key strategies. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected the overall development and different avenues for adolescents and in particular girls. With the purpose of understanding the effect of COVID-19 on adolescent and young girls in Rajasthan, a rapid assessment is being proposed with the support of Civil Society Organizations.

Objectives of the study are:

• To assess the impact of COVID-19 on health, education and protection of adolescent and young girls
• To assess the impact of COVID-19 on accessibility to different programs and schemes of government
• To assess the impact of COVID-19 on livelihood generation avenues for young girls.
• Geographical areas : 7 districts, selecting one district from each division of Rajasthan i.e. Ajmer, Kota, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur and Udaipur

Scope of work-

• Literature review
• Define research methodology including sample size, geographical coverage etc.
• Finalize the sample size, geographical coverage in consultation with CECODECON and Funding agency
• Identification and coordination with the Civil Society Organizations
• Develop data collection tool, structure of report (framework) in consultation with CECODECON and funding agency
• Pilot test the tool and incorporate the feedback
• Conduct dipstick assessment, compile, analyse data and prepare report
• Document case studies or Human Interest Stories highlighting the impact of COVID 19 on adolescent and young girls including photographs
• Share the draft report with CECODECON and funding agency for feedback
• Finalize the report after incorporating the feedback
• Share the key findings as presentation with CSOs and government

Deliverables:

• Report on the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Adolescent and Young Girls including few cases studies
• Presentation on the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Adolescent and Young Girls
• Consultation with Civil Society and government officials for sharing key findings of report
• Timeline: Two and a half months (75 days) from the date of signing of agreement.
