RFP - Development of Animated Video for Project Pratiraksha - Suraksha Ki Dor, Rewari, Haryana

About the Organization:

JSI R&T India Foundation (JSI Foundation) is a not for profit company, registered in 2014 under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013. The mission of the JSI Foundation is to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable communities through innovative, evidence informed and replicable strategies in partnership with government, private sector and civil society.

Project Background:

Funded by GSK, Pratiraksha – Suraksha Ki Dor is an immunization project in District Rewari Haryana, aims to improve the immunization coverage by reducing drop outs. This project is being implemented in partnership with Government of Haryana, GSK and JSI R&T India Foundation. The project focuses on children up to two years of age and their parents and care givers to improve the full immunization coverage in children up to one year of age and complete immunization coverage among children of two years of age through a multipronged SBCC strategy capacity building of AAA and facelift of AWCs. The project mobilizes and empowers communities by organizing Awareness camps and rewarding the champions, IVRS, house to house visits and individual tracking of children under two years of is one of the unique features of the project.

Scope of Work:

Technical brief for development of animated videos:

The project’s main focus is to alleviate fear and anxiety associated with AEFI among the parents of children 0-2 years’ age group. This will help in reducing the drop outs and subsequently improve the full and complete immunization coverage. The project also tries to address the issue of migration causing drop out for immunization. The project is named as Pratiraksha-Suraksha Ki Dor. There are components like mascot and Suraksha Ki Dor (a thread with seven bead) which will be part of all the animated videos. Total three videos will be developed. Of these, the two animated videos will be to bring awareness among the community members and parents about importance of full and complete immunization for children, inform about adverse events following immunization and measures to manage these. (Use of Paracetamol as per guidelines of GoI).

One small video will be developed which will be filler for the project. These videos will be used by Community mobilizers, ASHA, ANM and AWW for creating awareness in the community.

The videos to be developed are as follows:

• Project filler Pratiraksha-Suraksha Ki Dor
• Animated video on importance of full and complete immunization
• Animated video on AEFI and measures to manage using PCM as per GoI guidelines

Specifications for the videos:

• The agency will develop an 2D/3D Animated Videos with high resolution digital version, to be watched on mobiles, tablets or on a computer projector.
• Animated video should be approximately 3 to 4 minutes
• Animated Video can be played using different formats like .wmv, .mp4, .mkv etc. so that it can be played in any device supporting any of the formats.
• To develop detailed story boards and scripts for the video 2 and 3
• To conduct a meeting with Project Team and revise the story board and script based on their feedback.
• The copyrights for the developed videos will be with JSI R&T foundation.

Methodology:

• Pre-production: developing the story board, storyline (script writing), designing the characters, selection of color palettes, preparing the backgrounds, and recording the voiceover
• Production: Painting the backgrounds, creating the individual scenes and character activities, making the rough animation, cleaning up the animation (tracing), in between, coloring and painting the drawings with the help of computer software and exporting
• Post-production: final editing process of 2D/3D animation, adding sound effects or recordings, adding sub-tittles, rendering and exporting
• Edit or redesign the videos based on feedback from the project team
• To conduct consultative meetings with project team to review the appropriateness of the contents and videography, and make changes accordingly
• To arrange webinars (2 times) to socialize the videos through interactive virtual discussion

Duration: 1 month from the date of signing of the contract for the delivery of Animated Videos.

Proposed process and deliverables:

Given below is a list of proposed deliverables which will be finalized at the contractual stage. All deliverables must be approved by JSI R&T India Foundation:

• Agency will develop three Animated Videos on the topics described in scope of work. The Videos can be used in different formats like .wmv, .mp4, .mkv etc. so that it can be played in any device supports any of the formats.
• Share all the relevant documents/scripts prepared for development of animated videos.
• Agency must adhere to industry/security standards, best practices, and current security  policies.

Requirements:

• Very user-friendly animated videos to allow Community mobilizers to use easily.
• Copyrights will be with to JSI R&T India foundation.

Most Critical Considerations:

• TIMELINESS: The whole task needs to be completed & deployed within one month.
• Requirements and desired outputs to be discussed and agreed with Pratiraksha- Suraksha Ki Dor Project team.
