ABOUT PROGRAM

AIF’s Livelihoods program drives a unique market-relevant approach, harnessing the power of technology, to provide knowledge, skills, and opportunities to underprivileged youth, marginalized women, and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) to secure jobs, manage enterprises, and access dignified and sustainable livelihoods while building climate resilient communities. With a keen focus on the areas of remote jobs, ecosystem support for enhanced female labor force participation, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for PwDs, street vendors, and artisans around the country, AIF Livelihoods aims to lead nationwide, industry-led, collaborative skills and entrepreneur development initiatives, to meet India’s growing need for skilled workforce. Since 2006, the program has served 3.2 million underserved citizens across India.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Conduct comprehensive market research, including scoping studies and focused research on emerging markets, potential buyers, product trends, and effective marketing strategies, for strategic planning and organizational development. 
• Collaborate with senior management to align market insights with organizational goals and project strategies.
• Utilize market research findings to identify potential market linkage partners.
• Provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making and market penetration.
• Initiate contact, negotiate terms, and establish fruitful partnerships with prospects
• Foster enduring relationships with market partners to optimize business opportunities.
• Negotiate favorable terms such as 100% digital money transactions and increased volume commitments.

• Facilitate Buyer-Seller Interactions by serving as liaison between buyers and importers, facilitating communication and managing relationships.
• Organize and support self-help groups' participation in national and international trade shows and targeted buyer meetings
• Contribute to brand development initiatives aimed at promoting regional and sectoral products.
• To maintain and update necessary periodic reports and documentation as required in the project
• Collect, process, and analyse data, generate weekly, and monthly MIS reports on performance indicators, develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance the efficiency of operations and meet the objectives.
• Maintain and update databases, ensuring their accuracy and integrity.
• Track performance related to NGO operations, including the number of beneficiaries trained, placement percentage, and other operational metrics.
• Handle ad-hoc reporting requests from management and provide customized data insights as needed.
• Support business reviews and meetings with relevant data and insights
• Any other task/responsibility assigned by the line manager.

Qualification & Key Skills

• Minimum of a B.A. or B. Sc Degree in Marketing or Social Work or a similar discipline. 
• Minimum of four 3-4 years of experience working in rural entrepreneurship development 
• Strong writing and speaking skills in English and local language
• Direct experience in marketing, import/export, and relationship management.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and a team player; able to work independently.
• 2-3 years of experience in an MIS, reporting, or data analysis role.
• Sound knowledge and experience in using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office software programs.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
• Experience in website management and graphics programs is desirable.
• Product design, both design and graphic design experience a plus.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
• Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work under pressure and disciplined.

OTHERS: Salary shall be commensurate with experience.
