ABOUT Alohomora

Alohomora Education Foundation is a registered 'not­ for ­profit'​ organization focusing on building agency of young adults to take charge of their own education and make well-informed career choices aligned to their strengths and interests. We are institutionalizing career guidance at scale to ensure every child has access to support to transition out of 12th grade with a plan, while they are in school. We work closely with UNICEF’s Project Yuwaah, the Govt of Delhi and the District administration & Education department of Jhajjar, Haryana & Haridwar, Uttarakhand to support more than 3 Lakh students each year. We are looking to grow our impact rapidly over the next few years.

About the Role:

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role at the intersection of program design, curriculum development, facilitation, and team leadership. You will work across AEF's program portfolio, managing a team of 3–4 associates, building training systems, and owning the quality of content and delivery across partners.  If you are someone who can zoom in and zoom out with ease, thinking at a systems level while also caring deeply about the quality of a single session plan, this role is for you. 

Broad Areas of Responsibility 

• Program Design & Curriculum Development Lead the design and iteration of AEF's program resources, such as session plans, facilitator guides, career content modules, and training materials, ensuring alignment with AEF's mission and philosophy. 
• Work with partners to understand the needs and contexts of their students; adapt program design and delivery methods accordingly. 
• Create measurement and evaluation tools for programs and test them through on-ground pilots. 
• Research career pathways in partner geographies and design new content for CareerShala.co based on ground realities. 

Training & Facilitator Capacity Building

• Design and lead facilitator training modules to equip government teachers, counsellors, and partner staff to deliver AEF's programs effectively. 
• Train facilitators across 2–3 partner organizations; observe and debrief their work in the field and provide ongoing coaching support. 
• Organize showcase events and learning reviews; build a culture of continuous improvement among facilitators.
• Be present on the field for at least 2–3 days a week during peak execution periods. 

Team Leadership & Mentoring 

• Manage and mentor a team of 3–4 Program Design associates; set clear goals, review work quality, and support their growth. 
• Collaborate closely with the Associate members to strengthen team processes, uphold program quality standards, and contribute to strategic decisions on program direction. 
• Foster a collaborative, learning-oriented team culture aligned with AEF's values. 

Stakeholder & Partner Management 

• Build and manage relationships with government officials, school authorities, and implementation partners to ensure smooth program design and delivery. 
• Represent AEF in stakeholder meetings and partner reviews; communicate program rationale and learnings effectively. 

Learning Lab & Innovation 

• Research and adopt best practices in learning pedagogies, career exploration for young people, and holistic youth development. 
• Facilitate direct sessions with students to test new program innovations and gather ground-up insights. 
• Leverage networks to bring mentors and opportunities for students across career journeys. 

Documentation & Reporting 

• Document program learnings, case studies, and impact stories for internal use and external communication. 
• Support the creation of reports on program outcomes; contribute to donor and partner reporting as required. 

What We Are Looking For 

• 10–15 years of experience in program design, curriculum development, or training, with a significant portion working directly with adolescents or youth (ages 15–22) in the education or development sector; prior experience in a team leadership or managerial role is essential. 
• Strong background in learning pedagogies, facilitation, and designing for diverse learner profiles, particularly adolescents and young adults from underserved communities. 
• Excellent research and analytical skills, ability to gather, synthesize, and translate information into practical program content. 
• Strong communication in English and Hindi, both written and verbal; ability to engage government stakeholders, adult learners, and young people with equal ease. 
• A systems thinker who can manage complexity across multiple programs and partners simultaneously. 
• Comfort with Google Suite, design tools like Canva, and willingness to explore new technology platforms. 
• High learning orientation to experiment, reflect, and adapt at pace. 
• Genuine excitement to work in the field and travel to partner locations within and across states.
