Associate – Application Screening & Verification
Location: Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad
CTC: ₹2.50 – ₹3.50 LPA

Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Associate to screen and evaluate applications received through our Scholarship Portal. The role involves reviewing applicant profiles, verifying eligibility against defined criteria, checking supporting documents, and shortlisting candidates for further stages of the selection process. The ideal candidate is a graduate, preferably with a background in teaching or education, who can bring both structure and empathy to the screening process.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen scholarship applications received on the portal against eligibility criteria (academic, financial, demographic, etc.)
- Verify supporting documents such as mark sheets, income certificates, ID proofs, and recommendation letters
- Flag incomplete, duplicate, or ineligible applications
- Maintain accurate records and trackers of application status (shortlisted, rejected, pending, on-hold)
- Coordinate with applicants for missing information or document clarifications, where required
- Escalate discrepancies, fraud indicators, or edge cases to the reporting manager
- Support in generating screening reports and summaries for internal review
- Ensure timelines and SLAs for application processing are met
- Maintain confidentiality of applicant data at all times
Key Competencies
Education
- Minimum: Graduate in any discipline
- Preferred: Background in Education, Teaching, Social Work, or related fields
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in application screening, admissions, data verification, or similar administrative/coordination roles
- Freshers with strong attention to detail may also apply
Skills & Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured criteria
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with portals, spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), and basic data tools
- Ability to manage high volumes of applications within timelines
- Discretion and integrity while handling sensitive applicant information
- Empathy and patience while dealing with student applicants from diverse backgrounds
