About the Organization

Centre for Management of Health Services (CMHS) is one of the oldest centers at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). It was set up in June 2004 in recognition of IIMA’s contributions to the health sector in the past and the felt need to strengthen the management of the health sector in the context of socio-economic developments of our country.

Job Description

The Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) will conduct original research with one or more faculty members and is expected to independently carry out research on topics/themes that are aligned with the Centre’s vision with the mentorship of CMHS faculty. The Fellow is also expected to publish high-quality peer-reviewed journal articles out of research conducted at CMHS, and present work at national and international conferences. In addition to the fellowship stipend, CMHS would provide the necessary support for carrying out and presenting research, including funding for data collection, fieldwork-related travel, conference visits, etc. as per Institute policy.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• PhD from a reputed Institute or University in India or abroad, specializing in Management or Healthcare Management/ Public Health or Economics. The dissertation/thesis must be on atopic/theme related to healthcare. Publications in peer-reviewed journals are preferred. Candidates who have defended their dissertation are also eligible to apply. Such candidates need to submit proof of defence at the time of application, and the PhD degree certificate at thetime of joining the institute.
