Swargiya Kanhai Shukla Samajik Seva Sansthan, SKSSSS was established in 2002 as a NGO inmemory of the eminent Social Activist Late Shi Kanhai Prasad Shukla. The man was devoted for thecause of the poor communities of the Vaishali district from 1960 to 1978. To further spread his goodwork forcreationofa just and equal society,SKSSSSwasregisteredon22ndMarch,2003asaNonGovernmentOrganizationforreducingpoverty,inequalityandinjustice.Theorganization'sregisteredofficeislocated inHajipur withRegionalOffices in Samastipur and Siwan for efficientand effective programme implementation and service delivery to the women, children, adolescent andothervulnerablecommunities.

SKSSSS envision a just and equal society based on human values of unity, equality and fraternity sothat no one remains unhealthy, uneducated unemployed and exploited, by promoting sustainabledevelopment agenda as liberating force for achieving social justice, economic growth and self-relianceThemain mandates to be pursuedbythe organizationare:

  1. To support- care & protection to all women & children violated from various kinds of atrocity &abuse.
  2. Tocreatemassawarenessabouthealth,sanitationwithSTI-RTI,HIV-AIDS
  3. To provide training to various stakeholders, govt. and non-govt. functionaries in order to enhance theirefficiencyin their field of work.
  4. Tosupportchildrenineducationalactivitiesbyenrollinginformalschools.
  5. To provide mental health care and support to young children, adolescents and womenTo organize various types of intervention /programme among the rural people underholistic development approach.
  6. To propagate the significance of plantation & land degradation, organic farming among the mass inorderto savethe environment.

B.   Job Summary

TheCEOisexpectedtobevisionaryandastrategistwithexcellentleadershipandmanagementtraitsandmaintainsexcellentPR.TheCEOshallleadtheorganizationingeneralanddrivetheorganizationinbeingtheflagbearerofsocialdevelopmentinBihar.TheCEOwillberequiredtopreparestrategiesandworkplansforeffectiveimplementationofthesetplansand targets underthe guidanceof the Board.

As the SKSSSS shall be liaising with National and International organization including developmentpartnersforsupport,theCEOshouldpossessoutstanding research,communication,networkingandproposaldevelopmentskillsamongothers. Whileexperienceinchildrightsandchildprotectionorrural developmentwillbeanaddedadvantage,theCEO musthaveadequateknowledgeinNGOgovernance,financemanagementandoperational aspects of theorganization.

 

 

C.    Duties and Responsibilities

 

KeyresponsibilitiesoftheCEO are as follows:

1. Strategic Planning and Government Relations:

  • Develop and recommend corporate strategic plan and five-year operational and investment plan to the Board.
  • Liaise with various levels of Government agencies, particularly MoWCD, to align organization strategy and operational plan with government policy and plan.

2. Resource Mobilization and Donor Relations:

  • Mobilize donor support for enhancing on-farm and off-farm mechanization services to the farming community.

3.Administration and Management:

  • Manage and administer the SKSSSS to provide efficient and effective services as per the mandate.
  • Develop and maintain effective organizational structure, including management succession and capacity development plans.

4. Legal Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Be conversant with relevant laws, rules, and guidelines to effectively deal with various national and international agencies.
  • Consistently promote the mandate of the SKSSSS and ensure effective media relations and communication with relevant stakeholders.

5. Operational Efficiency and Safety:

  • Develop strategies and Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) for child protection, gender justice programs, and occupational safety.
  • Ensure that services provided meet safety standards and utilize appropriate technologies.

6. Resource Optimization and Innovation:

  • Optimize the use of resources through alternate mechanisms and innovation, maximizing returns.

7. Leadership and Team Development:

  • Build an effective management team by developing professional knowledge and skills and holding them accountable for key performance deliverables.

8. Financial Management and Governance:

  • Delegate authority to ensure effective control and coordination mechanisms are in place, including internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity, work ethics, and non-profit organization governance standards.

9. Communication and Reporting:

  • Keep the Board fully informed on all aspects of the organization's operation and financial affairs.
  • Ensure preparation of high-quality documents, periodic reports, stories of change, etc.
  • Oversee content development and maintenance of organization's website and social media pages.

10. Risk Management and Implementation:

  • Be able to take risks under challenging circumstances using best judgment.
  • Effectively implement Board directives.

 

D.    Eligibility Criteria

Qualification and experience:

  1. MinimumBachelorDegree(fulltime)fromtherecognizedUniversity.
  2. CandidatehavingMasterDegreeinRuralManagementorrelevantfieldand/or withrelevantexperienceshallbegivenpreferences.
  3. Minimumof25yearsofprogressiveworkexperiencewithNGO,INGO,UNwhichshould include a minimum of 10 years at ProgrammePlanningandManagementinSocialsector,orequivalentpositionofPogramme ImplementationAdvisoryleveland    aboveposition
