Job Description

PATH is hiring for a Consultant – Data Analyst on Third Party Payroll- Randstad.

The Data Analyst, under the overall supervision of Deputy Director-TB, PATH, direct supervision of the Program Manager, PATH and under the guidance of the State Tuberculosis Officer, Chhattisgarh will be responsible for facilitating project planning and its implementation on the ground. S/he will be responsible for coordinating with STC, STDC, DTCs and other stakeholders to develop a cadence of reviews for the project. S/he will be overseeing the data quality and analysis activities and the development of reports for the project. S/he will also support the Program Manager- in the development of resources for reviews and dissemination to various stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • To work in close coordination with the PATH Data Analyst at CTD, NTEP state teams, and other stakeholders and build rapport with state, district and sub-district teams, medical colleges etc for planning and implementation of the project interventions.
  • To conduct need assessment of data analytics training for the health staff and support the state, district in planning and implementation of capacity building initiatives on data quality improvement and data analytics and advocate for its sustainability.
  • To promote the concept of data champions by empowering the state/ district health staff as experts in data analytics and cultivating the leadership skills for cascading of the skills to the district/ sub-district staff to self-sustain in data analytics.
  • To do analysis of the key program indicators and deep dive of the cascade indicators and to support the state and district to identify the reason and data-driven decisions.
  • To provide mentoring and support supervision to the district, sub-district health staff through in-person visits and virtual mode for improving of the data analytics skills of the staff support in preparation of the programmatic action plan.
  • To provide occasional support to other Data Analyst in conducting of the capacity building intervention for cross-engagements.
  • To provide technical assistance and participate in the state and district level review meetings under the NTEP.
  • To conduct intermediate and end-line evaluations of intervention and non-intervention areas to assess the effectiveness of the intervention.
  • To undertake travel (about 30-40% time) to districts and need based travel to other states for follow-up support/ cross-validation of quality assurance of the interventions using standardized tools.
  • To submit regular updates and progress reports on program and project results for internal and external consumption and to document the achievements, best practices and learnings of the project.
  • To assist the national team in developing the national level reports and dissemination of the project updates.
  • Any other tasks related to project as to be assigned by the supervisor.    

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • PhD OR postgraduate degree in Public Health/Health Administration/ Statistics or equivalent from a recognized university in India.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience of working in public health program of which at least 4 years or more should for the TB elimination program at district level or above, preference will be given to those having experience of working at state.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with strong acumen of research, M&E techniques, project management techniques and various tools used in data analytics (quantitative & qualitative)/data visualization /creation of dashboards (Advanced Excel, SPSS, Power BI, Tableau etc.)
  • Knowledge of data visualization using Geo-mapping tools is an added advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi is required.
  • Ability to converse clearly, mentor, and work closely with other DAs and state and district NTEP staff, in demanding timelines.
