ABOUT DIGITAL EQUALIZER PROGRAM

Digital Equaliser is AIF's flagship education program. DE envisions a world where all children from underserved communities, especially girls, are prepared for a career and life. The program is bridging India’s digital divide by providing and integrating technology into underperforming, under-resourced public schools, training teachers in techno-pedagogy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) methodology, and transforming classrooms into collaborative and interactive places for students to learn while preparing them for success in the 21st-century global economy. Since its inception in 2004, the Program has empowered 8.14 million children with interactive STEM experiences, trained 212,585 teachers in STEM pedagogy, and transformed 46,596 schools across 35 states and union territories of the country.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The District Coordinator will be the key focal point of contact for the clusters and will report to the Project Lead.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the program is implemented as per the approved plan and budget.
  • Monthly field visit (minimum 15 days a month) and more, depending upon the program requirements.
  • Lead and oversee the implementation of the DE STEMpowering Program across all assigned  government schools within the assigned districts.
  • Ensure timely execution of program activities, school visits, training sessions, STEM club activities, and project milestones.
  • Monitor overall project quality, timelines, deliverables, and impact at the district level.

Team Supervision & Capacity Building

  • Supervise, mentor, and support Cluster Coordinators and field teams working across the district.
  • Conduct regular review meetings, field observations, and performance monitoring of field staff.
  • Provide guidance, troubleshooting support, and continuous capacity building to the implementation team.
  • Ensure field teams follow organisational processes, reporting standards, and implementation guidelines.

Government & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with District Education Officers (DEO), Block Education Officers (BEO), Headmasters, teachers, and other government stakeholders for smooth implementation of the project.
  • Represent the Organisation in district-level meetings, reviews, workshops, and education forums.
  • Build strong relationships with education departments and local stakeholders to strengthen program ownership and sustainability.
  • Facilitate permissions, approvals, and coordination required for project implementation in schools.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Monitor program progress, school coverage, student participation, teacher engagement, and achievement of KPIs across the district.
  • Ensure accurate collection, verification, and management of school-level and student-level data.
  • Review field reports, attendance records, monitoring data, and supporting documentation submitted by Cluster Coordinators.
  • Prepare district-level weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for program tracking and donor reporting.
  • Identify implementation gaps and develop action plans for improvement.

Qualification & Experience :

  • Post-graduation; BTech/MTech/MCA with experience in large scale edtech/ education/ development programs is preferred.
  • Minimum 05 years of experience- either as a lead team member in a social enterprise and/or non-profit organization and/or eco-system building.

Skills :

  • Excellent English skills – written and verbal.
