Position overview:

Field Manager – The Field Manager position is a key one which thrives on creating linkages with community and the KS India team. This role is vital in managing and upholding collaborative relationships and strengthening the organization's capacity to achieve its goals and objectives. All field managers  are responsible for 2-3  Blocks where KS India operates. The person in charge of blocks is responsible for effective implementation of activities at the field level, act a catalyst in the community mobilisation process and bridge the gap between services offered by government institutions and that of the people who entitled towards those services.

Reports to:  Programme Manager

Supervisory role: Field Officers & Motivators.

Location- Bodhgaya, can be deputed to different blocks.

Core Roles and Responsibilities: 70%

  • Programme Implementation and Reporting: Implement program activities in alignment with organizational objectives and goals. Take lead in ensuring quality check in activities and coordinate course correction in the same. Ensure field level activities are being conducted as planned, with effective usage of resources.
  • Community Mobilization: Building relationships with local stakeholders, effectively communicating project plans and impacts to the community, facilitating stakeholder engagement activities, encouraging community participation and empowerment in project decisions, ensuring cultural sensitivity and social impact considerations, resolving conflicts, and monitoring the overall impact of the project on the community to foster positive relationships and sustainable outcomes.
  • Logistic support: Ensure logistical support regarding any programmatic visits, maintain proper documentation at the field level and update the same at the programme level in office.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure effective reporting and documentation by preparing regular progress reports, presentations, and summaries that convey program status, achievements including Case stories, and challenges to stakeholders and management.
  • Monitoring: Track and evaluate the impact of activities, prepare field-based reports, triangulate data at the field level and coordinate any visits with MEAL team to provide data-driven insights for continuous improvement. Monitor the activities undertaken by Field Officers and also monitors Panchayat motivators.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners to optimize resource sharing and leverage expertise.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partners related to effective programme implementation, trainings and capacity building.

Secondary Responsibilities: 15%

  • Explore proactively capacity building requirement within team members and provide support in designing M& E structures at the field level.
  • Share and inform leadership on the impact of programme activities and identify new training needs for project teams as well as for community.

Organisational  Responsibilities: 15%

  • Engage in upholding and strengthening the core values of the organisation, foster transparent and open feedback system.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • A successful candidate will possess at least bachelor’s degree in social Sciences or equivalent subject.
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience of working in the grassroots with various communities and stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in Bihar would be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office etc.). Computer knowledge related to writing simple activity report and preparing activity budgets will be preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
