Job Description
The Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Consultant/Officer to oversee financial planning, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the organisation’s financial health and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimise financial performance.
- Project-wise budgeting, financial allocation, and forecasting in keeping with project/program/institutional budgets.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, internal controls, annual and project audits.
- Evaluate financial risks and develop risk management strategies.
- Provide guidance on cost reduction, revenue optimization, and financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial decision-making and processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best financial practices.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience and knowledge of Indian and International laws including, Income Tax, FCRA and CSR.
- Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA).
- Proven experience in financial consulting, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
