Job Description

WWF-India, one of the largest conservation organizations, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation in the country, invites applications from candidates for the position of Graphic Designer. We are looking for a candidate who is a visual storyteller that engages, informs, and inspires. The ideal candidate will be one who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the organization, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every type of collateral, print and digital.

This position will be part of the ventral Marketing and Communications Team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design all publications for connecting our work with external or internal audience.
  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple stakeholders on a wide range of materials that include newsletters, annual reports, eMailers, campaign collateral, web design, presentations, programming collateral, internal communications, fundraising and eCommerce communication etc.
  • Take charge of and deliver all organizational collateral for external or internal audience; print and digital.
  • Drive campaigns by creating visual identities, communication & collaterals to inspire an external audience.
  • Support organization's external communication & engagement channels.
  • Select colors, fonts, images, and layouts and understand / implement organizational brand guidelines across all communication design.
  • Establish creative direction for the organization within brand guidelines.
  • Explore, co-ordinate with external design consultants where needed.
  • Additionally oversee design work for conservation products.
  • Advise best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.
  • Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
  • Determine voice and messaging for graphic design pieces.
  • Implement feedback and changes whenever possible.
  • Engage with and manage vendors for all publishing and printing work.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline.
  • Five or more years of experience in professional graphic design.
  • Must have exceptional creativity and innovative design skills.
  • Must have organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma and Illustrator.
  • Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects.
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web.
  • Experience with both print and digital media
