ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
One in every 50, over 26 million individuals in India has Intellectual Disability (ID). In spite of this colossal number, they are stigmatized and are considered less deserving and are unable to access the resources that they need to achieve their full potential. Within the disabilities space, ID seems to be the most invisible. They continue to be excluded from India’s mainstream development narrative, experiencing widespread violations of their rights. Founded in 1944, we are one of the oldest & largest not for profit institutes in India serving children & adults with Intellectual Disabilities (ID). Over the past 77 years, we have touched the lives of lakhs of children & their families. We are committed to looking at each child with a belief in their potential to lead fuller and more inclusive lives. We serve over 700 Individuals annually who have ID and may have other related disabilities such as autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, visual &/or hearing impairment. We have our campus in Mumbai and rural branches at Deolali & Talegaon. Over 76% of our students belong to the lower socioeconomic strata. We have no minimum IQ requirement & till date no one has been turned away for their inability to afford our services.
Job Role: Manager - Donor Management
Reporting: Head - Fundraising and Donor Management
Summary: This role requires understanding of donor requirements and meeting the same. The manager will also serve as a liaison with internal departments to collate information for donors as well disseminating the information accordingly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Donor Management:
Provide donors updates on JVF i.e programs, developments, create and send reports demonstrating JVF impact and funds utilisation
Ensure these reports are sent across on their respective due dates as well support in managing relationships with existing and future donors, through on-going communication and regular meetings as well as visits to our campus
Build a database of potential donors & manage stakeholder database in the donor management system
Support in managing relationships with existing and future donors, through ongoing communication and regular meetings as well as visits to our campus
Collaborations:
Collaborate with corporates/ giving platforms interested in supporting JVFs work through resources or technical expertise and volunteering activities
Support in writing grant proposals to potential funding donors & due diligence
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
At least three to five years’ experience in a similar roles
Strong coordination skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with attention to detail and time management perspective.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, external partners and donors.
Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.
Excellent writing skills
