Job Description

In this position, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and outreach related to Roche Diagnostics India business interests with Government policy makers. You will lead development, implementation and oversight of advocate engagement strategies, plans and programs. You will represent Roche to external advocates, establish and maintain in-depth awareness of the business areas, current and future business plans with among advocates current and future interests, and the relevant surrounding policy and legislative environment.  You may also play a leadership role in departmental projects, train, coach, mentor, and oversee some of the work of other team members. You will work as a member of the Roche Diagnostics team and will report directly to the Head of Strategy. You will work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand and inform strategic objectives in specified disease areas affected by public policy, including identification of obstacles and opportunities arising from the intersection of statue and regulation with clinical development decisions and product profiles.

Job Responsibilities

• You will develop and lead the relationship for Roche in industry bodies, trade bodies, Diagnostics associations and leverage these relations to advocate for a conducive business environment through upcoming policies.
• You will Inform and update Roche leadership, business teams and collaborate with other functions ( RA, MA, PA)  on upcoming policies and assess, mitigate the impact to businesses through advocacy.
• You will engage with relevant government agencies and public/private stakeholder groups on issues critical to business and to elevate Roche leaders in public policy forums.
• You will monitor, analyze and advise on the potential impact of key political, economic and policy trends /developments; and lead the development of policy solutions in the country and share recommendations to address as required.
• Position Roche as a diagnostic leader in Government engagements, forge strategic partnerships with states, and center to create new opportunities for business in government health programs like Hepatitis and collaborate with Access to develop and deliver integrated communication activities with government, political strategy and patient group advocacy

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• You are someone with a 10+ years of experience in Government Affairs, of which at least 5 years should be in a Multinational Company.
