ICPF Child Protection Unit Positions- Detailed Job Description

1.1 Complaints Processing Executives

The India Child Protection (ICP), established in 2005, is a leading child rights protection organisation dedicated to combatting child sexual abuse (CSA) and related crimes, including child trafficking, exploitation of children in the digital space, and child marriage.

ICP works with various Law Enforcement Agencies to strengthen the ecosystem of support in fighting CSAM and related issues. The Child Protection Unit of ICP is a dedicated unit that works out of the Banjara Hills. This unit comprises of Executives who report to a Team Leader. The Team Leader reports to a designated nodal officer.

ICP is looking for professionals from voice/ non voice process who can be trained in initial analysis and categorization of such complaints and follow up with authorities for next steps.

  1. Since the process involves both voice and non-voice work, the candidate should have not less than 2 years of Voice Process Experience in a Call Centre.
  2. International BPO experience (Banking or Insurance Process) shall be given preference.
  3. Candidates with non-Voice background will also be considered, however, upon selection, they have to take calls as well.
  4. Since the job involves analyzing CSAM content and categorization of the same so that Law Enforcement Agencies can take action, is often disturbing, only those who are willing to work understanding the nature of job need apply.

Skill Sets

  1. Not less than 40 WPM @ 100% accuracy in Typing in English. [Highly proficient in Key Board Skills]
  2. Good Over the Phone Etiquettes. [The same team will also have to respond to telephonic complaints pertaining to related issues]
  3. Good interpersonal skills. [Since it required interacting with senior ICP and other organization leaders.
  4. Good business communication and documentation skills.
  5. Should be disciplined and professional.
  6. Proficiency in MS Excel (Basic level: Filters, Charts, Formulae, Conditional Formatting, Text to Columns etc.)
  7. MS PPT, Proficiency (Working with stock designs within Office 365)

Languages

Since large number of staff are speakers of vernacular language, knowledge of Telugu is preferred.

Should be fluent in English (spoken and written) and should have working knowledge of Hindi.

Work Location

The team works out of the designated space on Road No 12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

Shift

Depending on rostering, some employees may have to work in any of the assigned shifts.

Compensation

The remuneration is up to INR 25K per month.

Initial Tenure

The tenure of the contract is co-terminus with availability of funding. The initial contract will be for 1 year. Annual performance appraisals, business needs, and availability of budgetary provisions will determine continuity of service, year on year.

1.2 Team Leader-Operations (Child Protection Unit)

ICP is looking for professionals from BPO or Banking Back Office or Insurance Back Officer process who can supervise this team and ensure that the assigned goals are met.

Should have led a team size of not less than 10 people on shift basis. 

Skill Sets

  1. Not less than 40 WPM @ 100% accuracies in Typing in English.
  2. Knowledge of handling Call Centre Software.
  3. Expertise in rostering, scheduling, call queue management, Training, recruiting of Process Executives etc.
  4. Good Over the Phone Etiquettes.
  5. Good interpersonal skills.
  6. Good business communication and documentation skills.
  7. Should be disciplined and professional so as to work in a police environment under tight timelines.
  8. Proficiency in MS Excel Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced level: Filters, Charts, Formulae, Conditional Formatting, Text to Columns etc., Pivots, Data Cleaning, Look Ups etc.)
  9. MS PPT, Proficiency (Working with stock designs within Office 365)

1.3 Team Leader-Quality (Child Protection Unit)

1.4 MIS Executive

ICP works with various Law Enforcement Agencies to strengthen the ecosystem of support in fighting CSAM and related issues. The MIS function is critical to get a realistic view of operational quality of the Child Protection Unit functions. The MIS function will be responsible for data collection with respect to Operational Data, Staff Attendance, Feedback Gathering, Data dump from various software applications etc., for review and analytics.

Hands-on experience with MS Excel is absolutely a must for this function. Exposure to webforms and Business Analytics Tools will be a great advantage.

1.5 Recruitment Executive
