About the Organization

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Masters in Psychology/ Social Work/ Population Studies/Public Health/ Counselling and allied fields
• Experience: Minimum 5-8 years working experience in research projects in programme evaluations in the field of HIV/ TB and health sector.

 Essential:

• High level of commitment and integrity and ability to work independently
• Excellent co-ordination, organizational and administration skills
• Ability to strategize and implement the programme to get the expected outcome
• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, basics of research methodology

Desirable:

• Peer-reviewed publications in the area of public health and allied fields
• Knowledge of National AIDS Control Programme especially the targeted interventions and experience of conducting programmatic evaluations.

Salary

Up to Rs. 1,15,763/- per month.
