Apprenticeship training is one of the key components for creating skilled manpower in India and contributes to make India. Apprenticeship training is one of the most efficient ways to develop skilled manpower for industry by using training facilities available in the establishments without putting any extra burden on the exchequer to set up training infrastructure.
We have been listed amongst the country's top 50 Education leaders in 2020 and top 26 NGOs in India impacting Education in 2016 by the Education World magazine.
Program Details
The program has the capacity to impact the lives of 50,000 to 1,00000 youth secure employment and focuses on ‘earning while learning’. Also, the Apprenticeship scheme is one of the top priority schemes.
This is a great opportunity to work in public policy implementation in a State as large and diverse as Uttar Pradesh and impact the lives of thousands of youth from vulnerable communities. It will both be a challenging as well as a rewarding experience.
Purpose of the Role
The position reports to the Program Manager and is responsible to coordinate and liaise with stakeholders across division level on driving implementation of the program.
The position reports to the Program Manager - Industry Relations and is responsible for managing and developing relationships with organizations, industries, and businesses to place candidates in apprenticeships or permanent positions. This position requires an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to effectively network and build relationships with key stakeholders in various industries.
The position holder will support the implementation plan while working closely with the division level stakeholders. The person will spend a significant proportion of time at ITIs, UPSDM Centre and Industries.
Key Responsibility
The list mentioned below provides more detailed descriptions of the role to be performed. It is not exhaustive but illustrates the scope of responsibilities and provides insight into other tasks that may be required or assigned as per need.
1. Develop and implement strategies (Identify trends, emerging opportunities, and challenges) to improve the overall success rate of placements, including outreach to new industries and businesses.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with companies, industries, and businesses to facilitate placement opportunities for candidates.
3. Collaborate with academic departments and career services to identify and target industries and companies for placement opportunities.
4. Manage the placement process from beginning to end, including identifying opportunities, matching candidates to positions, and facilitating job offers.
5. Work with employers to ensure that apprenticeships and placement are structured in a way that is beneficial to both the candidate and the organization.
6. Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on placement activities and outcomes to your reporting manager.
7. Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall success rate of placements, including outreach to new industries and businesses.
8. Collaborate with other Placement Officers, Division Coordinators and Trainers to share best practices, coordinate activities, and support overall placement goals.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, labour market conditions, and employer needs.
10. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as and when required.
11. Maintain RightWalk Foundation’s reputation while coordinating with all key stakeholders involved across the state.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
1. Graduate/ Post-graduate degree in business, human resources, marketing, or related fields.
2. 3 - 5 years of experience in Apprenticeship and Placement sector
3. Prior experience of working with the district/ division will be preferred
4. Result orientation, effective leadership, strong communication skills, stakeholder management, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from varied backgrounds and levels
5. Ability to work independently and proactively, without support staff and with little supervision
6. Possess good analytical, problem solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Knowledge of labour market trends, industries, and business practices and Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
8. Strong planning and organizational skills, and an ability to be able to set priorities, plan timelines and meet deadlines.

1. Operating style suited to working in a small organization setting, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued.
2. Excellent leadership skills, including ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
3. Flexible in travel across the division.
