Job Summary:

The Program Manager – MLE is tasked with leveraging data to inform strategic decision-making across the organization. This role involves analyzing large datasets, developing data visualization, and developing MLE products. The incumbent will enable the organization to better understand trends, patterns, and predictions within the social development sector.

This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Data Analytics & Interpretation:

  • Lead the data analytics and interpretation to support programmatic decision-making.
  • Manage the deployment of data analytics and interpretation strategies to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Design and implement analytical frameworks to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage monitoring and evaluation plans to track project progress against goals.
  • Interpret data to provide insights and identify trends in the social development sector.

Data Visualization & Business Intelligence:

  • Develop and implement data visualization and business intelligence strategies.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of data visualization tools, employing business intelligence to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • Create and manage dashboards and reports for various stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
  • Train and support staff in using data visualization tools to ensure data driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate business intelligence practices into program design and evaluation.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data science team to support program goals and objectives.
  • Guide the development of data collection formats and analytics tools.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data collection and analysis.
  • Ensure the data management systems are aligned with programmatic goals and are adaptable to the changing landscapes of the social development sector.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies, analytical methods, and best practices in data science and M&E.

Desirable Qualification & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Rural Management, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, indicator frameworks and tool designing.
  • Strong statistical background with the ability to understand and analyze dataset characteristics.
  • Additional certifications in data analytics

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and tool development.
  • Proven experience in managing large datasets and conducting complex data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets and extract strategic insights.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and software.
  • Proficiency in data analytics software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, Stata, SAS).
  • Advanced skills in data visualization tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
