Who You’ll Work With
As the Program Manager, you will report directly to the Founder/Director and collaborate closely with the Leadership team. You will oversee a team of associates and external consultants, managing program execution and driving measurable impact. Additionally, you will engage with a diverse network of stakeholders, including educational institutions, private sector partners, NGOs, and community leaders. Collaboration across teams and sectors will be essential in delivering Veera’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Leadership and Management (70%)
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable workshop models, sensitization sessions, and community engagement programs tailored for schools, workplaces, and communities.
- Develop detailed program implementation plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure impact.
- Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outputs such as training modules, workshops, and events, while adhering to project budgets.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot challenges, and implement adaptive strategies to keep programs on track.
- Create and oversee the monitoring and evaluation framework for all programs to assess impact and inform improvements.
- Prepare detailed program reports for internal and external stakeholders, including partners.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships (25%)
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with educational institutions, corporations, government agencies, and civil society organizations to expand Veera’s reach and influence.
- Foster relationships with subject-matter experts, community leaders, and influencers to enhance program design and delivery.
3. Organizational & Team Development (5%)
- Support leadership in strategic planning and scaling efforts for Veera’s programs.
- Lead and mentor program teams, ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational values.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning within the program team.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field. However, you can be from any stream as long as you have a proven track record in program management and social impact initiatives.
Experience
- 4-8 years of experience in program management, preferably within the social impact, gender equity, or development sectors.
- Proven track record of managing and leading large-scale programs from conception to execution.
- Experience in leading diverse teams and working with cross-sectoral stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in monitoring and evaluation, including program design, analysis, and reporting.
Core Skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English, followed by Hindi.
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the socio-political context of micro and macro gender narratives.
Good-to-Have
- Familiarity with gender-focused program design and implementation.
- Skills in designing innovative workshops, trainings modules, and sensitization programs.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for program monitoring and evaluation.
