Project Manager

Yellow Spark is hiring for one of its clients, a non-profit organization working for the rights of the oppressed and marginalized section of society.
Position: Project Manager
Location: Mumbai
CTC: INR 8 LPA
This is a fixed-term renewable contractual position.
Purpose of the Role:
- To be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of projects within the organization.
- To play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and meet the objectives outlined by the senior management.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
- Lead and motivate project teams to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
- Communicate regularly with senior management and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners as required for project execution.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in project management, and incorporate relevant strategies into project execution.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project staff as needed.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards at all times.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Management Information Systems (MIS) to support project management activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of project metrics and performance indicators.
- Manage documentation related to project activities, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant documents, ensuring they are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible to stakeholders.
Requirements:
Qualification: Graduation in any stream. Post-graduation in social work would be preferred.
Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in managing community and field-based projects
- Should have experience in monitoring and evaluating projects within an organization, and developing a larger research agenda for the work on youth, labour, housing, and basic services.

- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- Must be trustworthy
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with different stakeholders - communities, collectives, civil society, and government officials
Role-specific technical skills:
- Project management skills
- Team Management skills
- Report writing skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Marathi/Hindi are essential
- Commitment to work within the human rights framework
Any other specifications: The person taking this role should be flexible to travel to different locations in Mumbai
