Centre for Environment Education Ahmedabad was established as a Centre of Excellence under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India, working in the field of Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development. CEE is registered as a Society under Societies Registration Act 1860 vide registration No. GUJ/1043/Ahmedabad having its registered Office at Thaltej Tekra Ahmedabad.

Job Description

The Project Officer is to be based in Guwahati (Assam) and ensure the smooth implementation of project activities in Guwahati.

The recruited Project Officer is to ensure effective coordination, advocacy, and technical support may be extended to the respective department/ULBs/service providers/others from the state to the field level on effective implementation of the project.

The Project Officer will be responsible for implementing the linkages with various stakeholders in the working areas to align the execution of the core project activities.

The recruited Project Officer will work in close collaboration with the project manager, Service Provider, and the donor. He/she will be reporting to the Project Manager.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Graduate in Environmental Science/ Environment Management / Social Studies / Economics / Waste Management/ Business Management or another relevant field with a minimum of 05 years of experience in the relevant field. Working experience in the implementation of waste management projects or working with the State or central governments will be preferred. Good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills on the impacts of the project. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).

Salary

Salary in the range of Rs. 40,000/- to 50,000/- monthly based on experience, skills, and qualifications
