About the Organization
Consumer Unity & Trust Society (CUTS) is a leading think-tank working on economic and public policy issues. From its modest beginnings in 1983, CUTS has grown significantly as a local and global research and advocacy group in addressing the challenges to enhance consumer welfare. From a small voluntary consumer non-governmental organisation (NGO) working locally in Rajasthan, a state in North West India, to make consumers aware of their rights and seek resolution of their grievances, CUTS has over time progressed to policy research and network-based advocacy on various public policy issues at state, national, regional and international levels.
Job Description
The incumbent of this profile will provide overall ground level implementation and management of the project. The position requires active involvement in the planning, monitoring, and implementation stages project related to agricultural, science and technology, FPOs, and other projects, working closely with various stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes. Prior experience working on agricultural projects is a strong plus. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical expertise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to lead and motivate team. The position will have close interface with the Senior Management, CUTS Headquarters, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on implementation support for the project, ensuring activities align with the objectives and timelines.
- Lead, manage and coordinate day to day planning, implementation and management of project activities according to the project documents and milestones.
- Create and maintain detailed timelines and work plan for key project deliverables, ensuring accountability for progress and on time delivery.
- Coordinate with Senior Management and other key stakeholders to monitor progress and report on key metrics.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders and donor agency.
- Work in collaboration with teams at CUTS Headquarters and external partners, ensuring effective communication and smooth operational processes.
- Ensure compliance with all project-related guidelines and frameworks, including those set by the donor agency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track project milestones.
- A good understanding of financial management covering project budgeting is essential.
- He/she should be open for extensive travelling in project cluster locations as required.
- Coordinate and work in close consultation on programme, policies, finance, HR etc. with respective department head(s).
- Skilled in collaborating effectively on proposal writing and managing new project funding opportunities.
- Any other work assigned by the reporting manager.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- PhD or a Master's degree (PG) in Agriculture Sciences.
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in agricultural development, with a focus on implementing Science and Technology (S&T) based projects for societal impact.
- Experience of working in S&T based projects is desirable.
- Experience and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
- Comfortable working in fast paced and deadline driven environment.
- Experience working in multicultural environments is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in fundraising and proposal writing.
