Xenon Livelihoods is a new generation consulting organization promoted by group of professionals who have years of experience in strengthening capacities of groups, collectives as well as promoters of such institutions specially around livelihoods. It provides capacity building and strategic support to develop enabling eco-systems; comprehensive, customized business solutions; and on-site operational assistance. Xenon Livelihoods specialises in developing organizational processes in enablers & CBOs, design and delivery of participatory training modules, strategizing livelihoods, design solutions for market led development, business promotion and external linkages, and evaluate program and processes.

About the Project

SeSTA and Xenon Livelihoods have been implementing a project on “Strengthening of Cluster Level Federation” promoted by MSRLS in the state of Meghalaya. SeSTA is “the Lead Partner” and Xenon Livelihoods is “the Technical Partner” of the consortium. The project aims to strengthen cluster level federations in line with NRLMs Model CLFs (MCLF) strategy by demonstrating CLFs as immersion site and establish the initial framework necessary for evolving these CLFs as home-grown institutional model and inspiration to other CLFs in Meghalaya as well to other SRLMs in the country.

In the project 6 Immersion sites will be developed, 2 in each Zone and for the same Xenon Livelihoods needs to deploy two zonal coordinators in West Khasi and Ri Bhoi districts to ensure effective implementation of the project. 

Role and responsibility of Zonal Coordinator

Zonal coordinator will provide intensive handholding support to MSRLS Block team to develop MCLFs as immersion site and onsite technical guidance & support to other MCLFs in the Zone.

Provide direct support in roll out of the learned knowledge provided during ToTs in the immersion site development.

• S/he will support mission staff in training block level staffs and setting systems in CLF
• S/he will responsible for knowledge transfer to CLF ECs and staff
• Support the CLF-in-charge for ensuring smooth functioning of the governance and management of CLF
• Ensuring thematic integration (FNHW, livelihoods, financial inclusion, Social inclusion and social development) at the immersion site(s)
• Establishing information flow systems, financial and operational systems in immersion site(s) and guiding the block team in replicating the same in other CLFs in the zone. 
• Periodic reporting to Program Director about the progress of the project.
• Assisting District Resource Persons in conducting District level training.
• Assisting Project Resource persons during central level training and zonal level demonstration.
• Representing the project in various forums within the state.

Education and Experience

Masters in Social work or any other discipline with relevant work experience of 3-5 years- promoting and strengthening of member owned and controlled community institutions (SHG-Village Organisation-Cluster Level Federation/FPOs/any other federation). Relevant work experience in Meghalaya and other North Eastern states and knowledge of local language will have added advantage.
