Job Description

IIM Ahmedabad seeks a Research Associate (RA) to work closely with Prof. Sunil Sharma on case writing and case based/qualitative research focused on strategy implementation and Professional Service Firms. Interested candidates should have an ability to read and analyze research papers/business reports on strategy, organisation, and industry. The RA will conduct relevant literature review, interviews, and synthesize data into a coherent written material in the form of a case, article, consulting report, or a journal article.

Job Responsibilities

• Literature review and research theme identification based on academic journals and industry reports
• Build questionnaires and conduct interviews with employees of a company including senior leaders
• Analyze and synthesize quantitative data with qualitative interview data
• Develop original academic writing such as a case study/research article/consulting report
• Help with research assignments on professional service firms and power/energy sector companies

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Masters degree in any management or affiliated field or Bachelors degree with exceptional track record
• Proficiency in analyzing qualitative data and familiarity with quantitative data analysis
• Evidence of original thinking, creative insights, and thoughtful writing
