About the Organization

Villgro is a social impact first incubator of startups, and we are arguably the leaders in fostering ground-up social innovations in the Climate Action, Agriculture and Healthcare sectors. We invest (through grants, low-cost debt, and equity) in technology startups and SMEs, along with specific technical assistance. We are also building a suite of impact financing solutions that can reduce the barriers to adopting new technologies.

Villgro seeks a young professional who is passionate about social impact, has strong analytical skills and is willing to be a part of an incubation-cum-acceleration program in the Healthcare sector being funded by well-known international donors.

Job Description

Villgro wants a dynamic professional passionate about social impact and with an entrepreneurial streak interested in evaluating, supporting and evangelizing innovation and social impact focused healthcare startups focused on developing technologies, products, services, screening and diagnostics, with a focus in NCD, mental wellness and women’s health.

Job Responsibilities

Program Implementation

• Facilitate engagement with incubatees, including writing proposals for technical assistance, identifying mentors, facilitating direct interactions with entrepreneurs to ensure tailored guidance and assistance and gathering data for evaluating business growth.
• Handle documentation tasks, including but not limited to maintaining records, drafting reports, and compiling necessary documentation for project compliance.

Partnerships & Collaborations

• Pursue and convert high-value partnership opportunities through inbound leads, follow-ups and outbound cold calls and emails, along with proactively developing a pipeline to record current and potential partners.
• Develop marketing collateral, articles and presentations for various meetings with donors and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and branding guidelines.
• Work closely with the Healthcare Team which includes Sector Lead, Portfolio Manager and Analysts.
• Collaborate with other sectors and functions as and when required.
• Support additional activities as required, contributing to the overall growth and objectives of the ecosystem.

Outreach- Oversee collaterals and vendor relationships for events and associated activities, ensuring effective management and timely execution.

Ensure systematic data collection and reporting on market trends and funding opportunities.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master's degree in a relevant field, such as sciences, Business, healthcare or relevant fields.
• 2-4 years of work experience in related field- Experience of having worked in the startup ecosystem and/or healthcare will be an advantage.
• Preferably have experience in early stage investing in social enterprises.
• Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including survey design, data analysis, and report writing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns and insights from complex data sets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey findings clearly and effectively.
• A passion for sustainable development and a commitment to driving positive social and environmental impact.
• Connections with key stakeholders in the sustainability and construction space are preferable.
• Open to travel as per the program needs.
