Position Overview:

CSRBOX is looking for a Technical Consultant – Urban Waste Management, stationed in Nashik, responsible for collaborating with municipal corporations, local bodies, corporate stakeholders, and community organizations. The role involves designing, strategizing, and implementing comprehensive urban waste management plans aimed at creating sustainable, replicable models for cleaner and healthier cities.

The Role and Responsibilities:

Waste Management Strategy:

• Develop and execute strategic waste management plans, including waste segregation, collection, transportation, recycling, composting, and disposal methods.
• Conduct baseline assessments, waste audits, and feasibility studies to identify gaps and formulate solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Facilitate coordination between municipal authorities, local administrative bodies, corporates, NGOs, waste management service providers, and community representatives.
• Conduct stakeholder consultations, workshops, and training sessions to build consensus and drive community participation.

Technical Implementation:

• Provide technical expertise on modern waste management technologies, including composting facilities, material recovery facilities (MRFs), recycling initiatives, waste-to-energy systems, and circular economy practices.
• Supervise and guide on-ground implementation teams to ensure adherence to technical specifications and project timelines.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

• Establish and manage monitoring frameworks to track the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, document progress, capture learnings, and recommend necessary course corrections.

Compliance and Policy Advisory:

• Ensure all interventions are aligned with national, state, and local waste management regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Advise local municipal bodies on regulatory compliances, best practices, and innovative approaches in waste management.

Capacity Building and Training:

• Design and deliver capacity-building programs for municipal staff, waste collectors, community groups, and corporate employees.
• Develop knowledge resources, technical guidelines, and manuals to institutionalize best practices.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Urban Planning, or related fields; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in urban waste management, municipal solid waste projects, recycling, composting initiatives, and related environmental fields.
• Proven experience in working directly with urban local bodies, municipalities, government agencies, or relevant public-sector projects.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, policies, and standards related to urban waste management in India.
• Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management, project planning, and technical execution.

Skills:

• Strong technical expertise in urban waste management systems and technologies.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Project management and analytical skills.
• Capacity to lead teams, guide technical staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Excellent report-writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
