About the Program

The Udayan Care Skilling & Livelihood (UCSL) Program equips underserved youth with industry-relevant skills to enhance their employability. Through partnerships with organizations such as NSDC, Tally Education, and Microsoft, the program provides training in sectors including IT-ITeS, Telecom, Retail, BFSI, Digital Literacy, Mobile Repair, Broadband Technician, and more.

With centres across multiple states, UCSL continues to empower youth through quality training and placement support.

Role Overview

Udayan Care is looking for an experienced Trainer – Broadband Technician to deliver practical and classroom-based training in Broadband and FTTH technologies. The trainer will prepare youth for careers in the telecom industry by developing their technical knowledge, practical skills, workplace readiness, and employability.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical training on Broadband Technology, FTTH, Fiber Splicing, Router Configuration, and CPE Installation.
• Train students in cabling, jointing, duct laying, troubleshooting, and maintenance of broadband networks.
• Conduct practical demonstrations, simulations, and field-based learning sessions.
• Deliver training in line with NSQF/SSC standards, where applicable.
• Conduct technical assessments and monitor trainee performance.
• Provide mentoring, remedial support, and career guidance.
• Train students in workplace communication, customer service, teamwork, and safety practices.
• Prepare candidates for interviews and employment opportunities.
• Maintain attendance, assessments, reports, and batch documentation.
• Coordinate with the Program Manager, Mobilizer, and Placement Officer for successful training and placements.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, or B.Tech in Electronics, Telecom, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in FTTH technologies, broadband installation, and field operations.
• Good understanding of fiber optics, networking, routers, and broadband systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Passion for teaching and youth skill development.
