ABOUT Brahmaputra Board

Brahmaputra Board is a statutory body set up under an Act of Parliament (Brahmaputra Board Act 1980) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation. The jurisdiction of Brahmaputra Board includes Brahmaputra and Barak Valley and covers all the States of the North Eastern Region including Sikkim and part of West Bengal falling under Brahmaputra basin. The Board consists of 21 Members under the Chairman, Brahmaputra Board (4 full time Members and 17 part time Members). The Board started functioning with its Headquarters at Guwahati from 11.01.1982. As per subsection (2) of section (3) of the Brahmaputra Board Rules, 1981 Board has established a Coordination Office at New Delhi.

Roles & Responsibilities

Housekeeping Management:

• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Supervising housekeeping staff and schedules.
• Training of staff.
• Managing regular room inspections.

Food and beverage (F&B) Management:

• Overseeing food and catering operations in the guest house.
• Ensuring food safety and quality.
• Managing beverage inventory and service.

Front Office & Guest House Management:

• Managing reservation, check-ins, and check-outs of guest in Guest House.
• Handling guest inquiries and providing information.
• Managing guest database and loyalty programs.

Facilities Management:

• Maintaining the physical condition of the property.
• Overseeing maintenance and repairs.
• Ensuring safety and security.
• Essential Qualification
• Master or Graduate in Hotel Management or any management discipline.
• Candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in the field of Hospitality.

Desirable

• Upper age limit 32 years
