ABOUT Brahmaputra Board

Brahmaputra Board is a statutory body set up under an Act of Parliament (Brahmaputra Board Act 1980) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation. The jurisdiction of Brahmaputra Board includes Brahmaputra and Barak Valley and covers all the States of the North Eastern Region including Sikkim and part of West Bengal falling under Brahmaputra basin. The Board consists of 21 Members under the Chairman, Brahmaputra Board (4 full time Members and 17 part time Members) The Board started functioning with its Headquarters at Guwahati from 11.01.1982. As per subsection (2) of section (3) of the Brahmaputra Board Rules, 1981 Board has established a Coordination Office at New Delhi.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in handling primary accounts related to Gem portal, including procurement, order processing and record maintenance.
• Support supply and inventory management of materials such as cartridges, stationery, furniture and other office requirements for HQ and field offices.
• Assist in management of vehicles, logistics arrangements and related documentation.
• Support scrap disposal (SCPDM) processes and maintenance of relevant records.
• Maintain registers, databases and MIS related to Nazrat Cell activities.
• Assist in day-to-day assignments and special tasks as entrusted by Chairman, BB and senior officers.

Essential Qualification

• Master’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other computer applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, basic IT tools).
• Desirable i. Working knowledge of office procedures, procurement and inventory management is desirable.
• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in office administration/accounts/logistics shall be preferred.
• Upper age limit 30 years

Emoluments (consolidated)

• ₹ 40,000.00 (Rupees forty thousand) per month.
