About the Organization

National Mission Program - Make in India (MII) for Biotech sector is led by DBT and supported by BIRAC since 2015. The PMU undertakes policy advocacy, data research and analysis, stakeholders’ consultations and provides strategic inputs. It supports Biofoundry/ Biomanufacturing initiative. The Project Development Cell, Investment Clearance Cell for biotech sector set up under this PMU will work closely with Invest India & DBT for the growth of the Bioeconomy and Biotech Innovation ecosystem of the country.

Job Description

National Mission Program - Make in India (MII) for Biotech sector is led by DBT and supported by BIRAC since 2015. The PMU undertakes policy advocacy, data research and analysis, stakeholders consultations and provides strategic inputs. It supports Biofoundry/ Biomanufacturing initiative and works closely with Invest India & DBT for the growth of the Bioeconomy and Biotech Innovation ecosystem of the country.

The selected Young Professionals will gain unique experience of stakeholder engagement, startup ecosystem, and biotech innovation.

Job Responsibilities

• Facilitate high-level interaction of international stakeholders with startups, entrepreneurs in a structured professional program.
• Assist in organizing virtual mentor-mentee meetings, take detailed feedback and manage follow-ups.
• Coordinate and support outreach activities like webinars, applications inϐlow, advertisements, others.
• Co-ordinate the designing and updating of eportal, dashboard, data handling and report preparation.
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
• Contribute to other assignments aligned with the mandate of Make in India.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• B. Tech /B.E. in CS/IT or equivalent; or Masters in Sciences/Management with formal training or course work in one or more programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript.
• Desirable Skills: Proϐiciency in GUI applications, webdesigning, IT tools, analytics and managing portals, video conferencing tools, MS Ofϐice. Excellent writing & oral communication skills in English, hands-on experience in Public Relations, Event Organization.
• Maintains a presentable and professional demeanour in online/in-person engagements.
• Work experience: Minimum 1 year Desirable: 3 months or more internship experience in a corporate ecosystem.

Salary

Between Rs.30,000/- to Rs.50,000/- depending upon qualiϐications & experience
