About the Organization

Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR) is a premier agricultural research institute engaged in basic and strategic research on sorghum and other millets under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

IIMR coordinates and facilitates Millets research at national level through All India Coordinated Research Projects on Millets, Pearl Millet and Small Millets and provides linkages with various national and international agencies.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and manage the training programs for Andhra PradeshFPOs and Farmers
• Appraisal, financing, monitoring andevaluation of FPO projects.
• Liasioning with Central/State Governments in discharging of duties Conduct impact assessment of projects.
• Facilitate FPOs related business activities such as post-harvest management, collective marketing, procurement, convergence with Central/State Govt. schemes etc.
• To develop/suggest business model for strengthening and sustainability of FPOs.
• Assist in conducting Conference, Workshops, Exhibition/ Farmers' Fair/Trade Fairs etc.
• Any other work given by theCompetent Authority

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• B. Sc. Agri with 2 years’ experience

Desirable:

• PG in Agri Business management / Agri Extension/MBA/ (or) M.Sc. (Agri) and allied Sciences/PGDRD, PGDABM
• Working Experiences with FPOs
• Technology Dissemination
• Development of Millets based businessplans
• Formation & Promotion of FPOs/Incubation of FPOs

Salary

Rs. 25,000/- Per Month (Consolidated and Fixed).
