About the Organization
Youth Ki Awaaz (YKA) is India’s largest citizen media platform, where young people write, share, and shape conversations that matter. With a community of over 200,000 contributors and millions of readers, YKA empowers young voices to be heard—whether through personal stories, opinion pieces, or issue-based narratives.
At YKA, we believe that every perspective adds value. Whether you’re writing about your community, the nation, or the world, this is a space where your voice fuels dialogue, challenges perspectives, and contributes to larger narratives.
About the Fellowship
The YouthACT Fellowship is part of the broader ACT Indore: Adolescents for Climate Transformation initiative led by Youth Ki Awaaz (YKA) in partnership with the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) and Indore Municipal Corporation.
The Fellowship aims to institutionalize adolescent and youth participation in urban governance and climate resilience planning, by embedding dedicated Policy Fellows within key urban governance institutions.
These Fellows will play a critical role in ensuring that adolescent perspectives are integrated into city-level decision-making processes and contribute to the development of the YouthACT Framework — a policy blueprint for embedding youth voices into urban systems.
