About the organisation:

The genesis of Telangana Jagruthi intersected with the renewed trajectory gained by the movement for Telangana state formation. Telangana Jagruthi thereafter ventured into other spheres such as skill development, provision of healthcare services, educational development, environment protection and women rights. It has offices across the world including India, USA, UK, UAE, Australia and Oman.

About the event:

The Telangana Jagruthi International Youth Conference 2019 is a partnership driven program for young leaders across the world who can make a positive impact in their communities and the world at large through the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals. TJIYLC brings together leaders from different walks of life and serves as a point of confluence for young professionals, students, innovators, and policymakers to come together and build consensus around SDGs and other critical development agenda. Delegates acquire first-hand experience in leadership, join a lasting global leadership network and build a platform to tackle current critical issues.

The TJIYLC shall take place on the 18th, 19th, and 20th January, 2019 at Hyderabad. The event is hosted by Telangana Jagruthi - one of the largest NGOs in India working on skill development, youth empowerment and women leadership.

Who can be a Delegate?

You can be a TJIYLC 2019 delegate if you are a young leader or a youth trying to make a meaningful impact on the world. The following is a list of general indicators and competencies that we are looking for in a TJIYLC delegate:

  • Age: Between 18 and 30.
  • Well versed in current national/international youth policies and/or development debates.
  • Passionate about Sustainable Development Goals and to make a positive change in the world.
  • Willing and motivated to work together with other young people through involving in active dialogue, debate and action planning.
  • Having working knowledge of English language.
  • Please note that gender and regional balance will be taken into account in the selection based on the ability of the delegate to represent their constituencies during the TJIYLC 2019 and actively take part in the conference programme.
