About the Organization
CINI is implementing an initiative to create child friendly communities in selected tea gardens in Assam. The initiative strengthens access to services related to health, nutrition, education, and child protection through a community-led, participatory approach. CINI invites Expressions of Interest from qualified consultants to undertake process and learning documentation of the initiative in ten tea gardens in Sonitpur and Golaghat district, along with a comparative situational assessment to track change over time.
About the Proposal
The assignment aims to document the implementation journey of the intervention, capture key learnings and enabling factors, and assess progress over time. The documentation is expected to support programme learning, sustainability planning, and future replication.
The scope of work includes:
Process & Learning Documentation: Develop a structured process documentation report capturing key implementation processes, stakeholder engagement, learnings, and sustainability considerations of the intervention in the selected tea gardens.
Comparative Situational Assessment: Revisit and update the previous situational assessment through a comparative analysis to track changes over time and identify key progress and gaps.
Methodology
The assignment will follow a qualitative, participatory approach using appropriate field-based methods, use of quantitative data and secondary data review, as necessary, in line with ethical documentation practices and informed consent protocols.
Deliverables
- Consolidated written process documentation and learning report
- Comparative situational assessment brief (change over time)
- Case studies documenting replicable practices (as part of report/annexures)
Timeline (Indicative)
- Fieldwork and documentation: February 2026
- Draft submission: by 10 March 2026
- Final submission (post-feedback): by 20 March 2026
Consultant Profile
- Proven experience in process documentation and qualitative research
- Strong analytical writing skills and experience producing publication-quality reports
- Experience in child rights, education, health/nutrition, gender, and/or child protection
- Ability to engage with communities and duty bearers (PRI, FLWs, TGMs, government)
- Familiarity with ethical research and informed consent practices
