1. Title of Assignment

Construction of 4,000 Percolation Pits for Water Harvesting and Ground Water Recharge across selected districts of India.

2. Issuing Authorities

This EOI is jointly issued by:

• CSR Division, SR Group 
• Meri Awaz Trust, New Delhi

Both organisations will jointly evaluate, shortlist, and select implementation partners.

3. Project Overview

CSR Division of SR Group, in partnership with Meri Awaz Trust, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified NGOs, civil work agencies, contractors, and social sector organizations for the execution of 4,000 percolation pits to support rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge, soil moisture enhancement, and long-term environmental sustainability. This initiative aligns with national water conservation priorities and contributes to SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

Applicants may apply for one state, multiple states, or all states depending on organizational capacity.

5. Scope of Work

The selected partner will be responsible for:

• Site identification and feasibility assessment
• Excavation and construction of percolation pits as per approved technical design
• Use of appropriate materials (stone pitching, reinforcement, bunding, etc.)
• Plantation and protective fencing wherever feasible
• Complete geo-tagging of sites (before–during–after)
• Photographic and video documentation
• Monthly progress reporting
• Submission of final completion report with a sustainability plan

Each pit shall follow the indicative dimensions and technical norms issued during implementation.

6. Eligibility Criteria

Organizational Requirements

• Registered NGO/Trust/Society/Company/Contractor with valid legal status
• Minimum 3 years of experience in water conservation, watershed development, rural development, or civil infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience in constructing percolation pits / soak pits / farm ponds / check dams preferred

Financial Requirements

• Minimum average annual turnover (last 3 financial years):
  • NGOs: ₹25 lakhs
  • Contractors/agencies: ₹50 lakhs

Technical Capability

• Ability to deploy engineers, supervisors, and ground staff within 15 days of work order
• Ability to work in remote rural and tribal districts
• Experience in monitoring, geo-tagging, and reporting

7. EMD Requirements

• EMD Amount: 5% of the project value for the selected state(s).
• EMD must be deposited along with the EOI submission.
• Submission of EMD does not guarantee allocation of the tender.
• Allocation will be made only upon issuance of the Work Execution Letter by CSR – SR Group of Industries & Meri Awaz Trust.
• EMD will be refunded to non-selected applicants after announcement of results.

 

8. Selection Process

The evaluation and selection criteria include:

• Organizational strength & credibility
• Past experience in water-related or civil works projects
• Technical methodology & implementation roadmap
• District-level presence and manpower capacity
• Financial capability
• Quality of EOI documents submitted

Note:

• Submission of the EOI and EMD does not mean the tender is awarded.
• The tender will be officially awarded only after the Work Execution Letter is released.
• The decision of CSR – SR Group of Industries & Meri Awaz Trust will be final and binding.
