RFP for Pehli Seedhi Initiative

1. Background

The Pehli Seedhi initiative, under Nand Ghar and supported by the Anil Agarwal Foundation (Vedanta Limited), aims to break the intergenerational cycle of malnutrition in Rajasthan. It focuses on providing nutrient-rich supplements to children under 6, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. The initiative aligns with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

2. Objectives

• Reduce undernutrition and micronutrient deficiencies.
• Support healthy pregnancies and reduce low birth weight.
• Enhance nutrition literacy and promote behavior change.

3. Scope of Work

The selected implementation partner will be responsible for:
• Formulation and supply of supplements tailored to target groups.
• Cost breakdown including logistics and digital tracking.
• Training and capacity building for stakeholders.
• Community engagement and BCC tool development.
• Monitoring, evaluation, and integration with government systems.

4. Eligibility Criteria

• Organizations with relevant experience.
• Consortiums/joint ventures are allowed.

5. Proposal Submission Guidelines

• Submit technical and financial proposals in separate documents.
• Email proposals to commercial.aaf@vedanta.co.in & Muhammed.Arshlan@vedanta.co.in with subject line: “Proposal for Pehli Seedhi”.
• Deadline: 8th August 2025.

6. Deliverables

• Finalized product formulation and regulatory approvals.
• Inception report and M&E framework.
• BCC strategy and IEC materials.
• Distribution documentation and final report.

7. Timeline

• Project Duration: 9-12 months
• RFP Release Date: 14th July 2025
• Deadline for Queries: 21st July 2025
• Proposal Submission Deadline: 8th August 2025

8. Payment Terms

Payments will be made upon successful completion of deliverables and submission of invoices. Verification and approval by the contracting authority is required. Payments will be processed within 45 days of invoice receipt.

9. Terms and Conditions

• Nand Ghar reserves the right to accept or reject proposals.
• All intellectual property developed shall remain with Nand Ghar.
•Agencies must adhere to branding, communication, and data confidentiality guidelines.
• Use of Nand Ghar logo requires prior approval.
• Data collection must follow national ethical guidelines.
