An academic admission marketing officer develops and executes strategies to attract prospective students by creating marketing materials, conducting outreach, participating in recruitment events, and managing digital marketing campaigns. Key responsibilities include generating and following up on leads, building relationships with students and families, collaborating with internal departments, and tracking key performance indicators like lead generation and enrollment rates to meet institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy Development:

Design and implement marketing and sales strategies to attract new students and promote the institution's academic programs and brand.

Outreach and Lead Generation:

Conduct outreach activities, visit schools and colleges, and participate in educational fairs and events to identify and engage with potential students.

Content Creation:

Assist in creating marketing materials like brochures, pamphlets, and digital content, and support the production of advertisements for various media.

Digital Marketing:

Support and execute digital marketing and social media campaigns to enhance the institution's online presence and attract students.

Student Engagement:

Provide information, guidance, and academic consultation to prospective students and their families regarding admissions processes, programs, and deadlines.

Relationship Management:

Manage and maintain relationships with prospective students, guiding them through the enrolment process and addressing their inquiries.

Event Coordination:

Organize and coordinate promotional events, such as campus tours and informational sessions, to showcase the institution.

Data Management & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions, manage CRM software, and track key metrics like lead generation and conversion rates to assess campaign effectiveness and contribute to meeting enrollment targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Education, or any social science, or related field is typically required.

Experience:

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in admissions within an educational setting is often necessary.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills are crucial for engaging with prospective students and their families.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency in software and other marketing tools is essential for managing leads and campaigns.

Sales & Marketing Skills:

A strong understanding of marketing strategies, sales techniques, and the sales cycle from lead generation to conversion is vital.

Soft Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills, relationship-building abilities, excellent time management, and problem-solving skills are beneficial.

Flexibility:

Willingness to travel for recruitment events and a flexible approach to work to adapt to the dynamic educational landscape are important.
