Job Description

As an Agriculture Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting farmers by promoting sustainable farming practices, providing technical guidance, and monitoring crop performance. You will assist farmers through training, demonstration plots, access to government schemes, and connecting them to markets.

Job Responsibilities

Farmer Support & Technical Guidance:

• Advise and train farmers on sustainable agricultural practices and improved cultivation techniques.
• Monitor crop performance in the field and recommend timely interventions to improve yield and quality.
• Establish and manage demonstration plots to showcase best practices.

Capacity Building:

• Organize and facilitate farmer training sessions, workshops, and field visits.
• Disseminate knowledge about new technologies, seeds, fertilizers, and pest management.

Schemes & Market Linkages:

• Guide farmers in accessing and availing benefits from relevant government schemes and subsidies.
• Support farmers in connecting with markets and buyers to ensure fair prices for their produce.

Monitoring & Reporting:

• Keep records of field activities, farmer participation, and crop progress.
• Prepare regular reports on fieldwork, outcomes, and challenges encountered.

Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge of sustainable farming techniques and crop management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with farmers and stakeholders.
• Ability to organize training programs and deliver technical content in a simple and effective manner.
• Proactive and passionate about improving farmer livelihoods.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
