Pratham was founded in 1995, to provide pre-school education to children in Mumbai slums. About Punjab Programs

Pratham has partnered with the Government of Punjab across all 23 districts to strengthen education from early years to upper primary. Since 2017, Pratham has supported SCERT on pre-primary education and, since June 2025, WCD Punjab on enhancing early childhood education (ECE) in Anganwadis. At the primary level, the partnership supports the implementation of the FLN framework for Classes 1 and 2, and the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach for Classes 3 to 8 in English, Punjabi, and Mathematics. Pratham’s role is to facilitate program delivery by supporting government processes such as content development, training, capacity building, implementation, and monitoring systems.

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals who are passionate about improving the quality of education. As an Assistant District Coordinator, you will support the District Team Lead in managing programme implementation, coordinating with government officials. The role involves regular school visits, facilitating teacher support, and ensuring effective documentation and reporting. This position is ideal for candidates who can balance field-level engagement with programme management responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the District Team Lead in day-to-day programme planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Coordinate with government officials, education department representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure effective programme implementation.
  • Assist in preparing district-level reports and presentations for government and Pratham teams.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the District Team Lead as needed, including assistance with school visits, data analysis, report preparation, and feedback consolidation. Actively contribute to planning, coordination, and follow-up to ensure smooth programme operations at the district level
  • Ensure timely documentation, data collection, and sharing of best practices from the field.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with additional formal qualifications in Education/Early Childhood Education.
  • 0-1 Years of relevant experience in education, community development, or programme management. Fresher can also apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government officials and school staff.
  • Good organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace tools for reporting and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the district.
